2007 Skills Trail Event


Thirteen skills feature in nine location in and around Killiecrankie and Blair Atholl during the 2007 Local Skills Trail event held over 11 & 12 August.
Organised to offer visitors the opportunity to see skilled artisans at work, the menu of attractions embraces:

Jo Pendleton, sugarcraft; John Cameron, bookbinding; Nancy Cameron, kiltmaking; Rami Cohen, Blair Atholl Water Mill; Steve Balmer, fly tieing; Peter (right) and Maria Barr, artists and picture framers; Coleen du Pon, Old Smiddy, Blair Atholl; Duncan Wilde, clock repairer; Mark Myles, drystone dyking; Sheila Barcroft & Nancy Cameron, spinning.

 

A number of demonstrations are scheduled to take place in the Killiecrankie village hall and the Blair Atholl Museum, and visitors will also have the chance to try their hand at carpet bowls
