Bloomers' Busy August
The Pitlochry in Bloom team is getting everything ready for its summer judging. The Committee and helpers’ group met up to check over the Carpet Bed in Pitlochry.
They managed to borrow a ladder from a passing painter who happened to be out sprucing up the lampposts. Bemused tourists looked on as this group photo was taken by Ian Sadler.
August will see the “Bloomers” show off their efforts to Take A Pride in Perthshire, Beautiful Scotland and Britain in Bloom. |

The Royal Horticultural Society has taken as its theme this year “Bloomin Wild” and Pitlochry has been busy adding a new feature to its “Wildlife Garden” to show the judges.
The town’s Ladybird benches are a great hit with locals and tourist alike. Sunday 5 August is ‘Secret Garden’s Day’ when many local residents and businesses open their gardens in aid of Pitlochry in Bloom.
Programmes are available at the Tourist Office in Atholl Road.
