Grandtully Hall Drop-In Day

The main events in the Fund Raising Drive for the refurbishment of Grandtully Hall will be held on the weekend 7-9 September. On the evening of the 7th a ceilidh will be held, organised by Peter Butter and Friends. This is a follow up to two very successful fund raising ceilidhs run by Peter in the hall earlier this year. Ticket will be on sale from committee members shortly.

On the afternoon of Sunday 9 September there will be the Drop in Day. You may drop in to see us on your vehicle, machine, quad bike or bicycle. Prizes will be awarded for the furthest travelled, oldest or most unusual vehicle or machine. Prizes will also be given for the best decorated quad, bicycle or person.

The committee is indebted to several local sponsors for very generous donations towards the prizes. These companies include the Inn on the Tay, Malcolm & Philippa Appleby, Free Spirits Rafting, Strathtay Chocolatier, Tam Shilliday Contractors and Donald Thomson of D & J Thomson.

To complete the afternoon, there will be side shows, a little light music and, not to be missed, afternoon teas served by Annie Fraser of Lovat Cooking.

No advance booking of vehicles is required unless you intend to bring your yacht or helicopter. For these we will have to secure mooring or landing facilities. Should you be unable to drop in on our ‘Drop in Day’, feel free to drop you donation towards the Renovation Fund in to us. We are well on the way to commencing Phase 1 of the work on the Hall and hope this planned weekend will give the fund a big boost.

Details from Hall Chairman Christine Thomson on 01887 840224.
