Enchanted Forest 2007 'Resounding Success'
Nearly 17,000 visitors are reckoned to have attended Enchanted Forest 2007 at Faskally. Hailed as a ‘resounding success’ by the Foresty Commission’s Hamish Murray, who chairs the multi-agency group responsible for the event, this year’s spectacular is confidently expected to exceed the 2006 injection of £1/2M to the local economy.
Although the results are still awaited from 600 people surveyed, Hamish reported that the numbers attending from the central belt and from the north of England were markedly increased on last year. Visitors were also logged from France, South Africa, Holland and Canada.
The Festival staged in Pitlochry to surround the Faskally ‘sight & sound’ extravaganza created an outstanding buzz atmosphere widely remarked upon by visitors and locals alike.

The organisers deserve an accolade for this latest success, and for safely ‘anchoring’ this event in Highland Perthshire, bringing with it the potential for substantial future development.
