'Go For It' Youths' Successes
Three pupils from Breadalbane Academy recently benefited by taking part in a three day Aspirational Learning Course held in The Church of Scotland facilitated by Franny McGrath (youth work co-ordinator for The Church of Scotland) and Niki Watson (The Hub) with peer educator Eoghann Menzies.
The Pacific Institute ‘Go For It’ programme is based on the 10 concepts of ‘Investment In Excellence’. The materials help to develop the inter and intrapersonal skills of students with thinking skills that develop their self esteem and self-belief, enabling them to achieve far more of their potential.
The ten concepts are based around research by some of the world’s leading psychologists. The course was funded through the Community Safety Local Action Fund with the packs being supplied by the Common Good Fund. |

Go For It! is an internationally recognised group-based (certificated) aspirational learning course that can develop young people by:
• Helping them to see how their mind works.
• Getting them past the barriers and sticking points in their lives.
• Helping them to build the self-belief and confidence they deserve.
• Giving them the thinking skills to get motivated and go after their hopes and ambitions.
• Letting them know how to take control of their life so they can be their best self.
“The three young people put in a tremendous amount of hard work and effort to complete the course in three days and thoroughly deserve their certificates,” said Franny McGrath who can be contacted for more information on 07988 878621.
